I have just installed a 2nd radiator on the back of my ute, that is coolent flows from engine through factory radiator then to rear of ute through a 2nd radiator and then back to engine.

I am going to put the overflow bottle off the rear radiator because it is the highest point in the system (please correct me if thats wrong) but does the height of the overflow bottle matter? Can i mount it completely below the radiator? Or should it be about the same height at the cap or higher???

It should be a similar height. Its there to help equalise pressure within the cooling system so drawing water back from the overflow bottle will be more difficult than if it is on the same level. Also I think you will find if you mount it lower you will have the same problem as if you had it mounted off the front radiator. I can't remember how mine was done off the top of my head.

If the cap on 2nd rad is sealed and has the secondary seal for a return then you can mount the bottle anywhere.
As the water cools it opens secondary seal and sucks water back to keep system full.
