Hey guys.

theres not much a i cant do in life but unless you have the gear for it, and in this area its all bad news.

My 80 turbo diesel has developed a wee bit of a problem...
Im putting it down to the fuel system.

Since also having tried some toyota diesel injector cleaner, my pump has started to leak..not happy...now i don't know where it was a combination of fuel and cleaner or what have you but since putting in the cleaner the things gotten alot worse....

Fuel consumption is like OMG and its running a bit hairy and no power

Can anyone recommend a no BS diesel specialist for injector and pump rebuilding in the brisbane area preferably

cheers bezerk..

But i followed a lead today and visited the guys at (insert plug here) "Diesel Australia" at in allgas st..slacks creek

Ted sanders owns the place, and put me onto Dan, his main guy out the back..having not seen whats inside one of these pumps i couldn't understand the costs involved..
You know the old aircondtitiong story...if your hot you'll pay anything they charge .....

Anyways they showed me some old cut away units and explained that just about everything inside the unit gets thrown out in favor of new goodies.

They also said we'll start with a compression test, AND SHIM ADJUSTMENT on the 80 series for 350$. (man thats bulk cheap given each shim is worth 20+ dollars!)..so we'll start with that and work out if the motors up to scratch and then go from there...you can't ask for better service advice than that !

(Yes yes, I'm a mechanic and i could probly do all this myself..but as i dont have the tools its easier to just pay someone !)

Ill keep ya'll flash diesel owners informed to the events
