Hj60 landcruiser 84-85 rear spring length diferance ?

Hey i am doing a suspention swap for my uncal from a hj60 1985 to his other hj60 with is a 1984 and it seems like the springs out of the 1985 are shorter by at least 2 1/2" is that right ?

Sounds fairly wrong to me. Is one set aftermarket, been replaced before etc?

Are the shorter leafs unloaded? A bit of weight will open em up.

Are the mounts the same distance apart. 99% sure they are the same even HJ/FJ/60/62

That's right, are you measuring a straight line between the eyes of the arc length of the spring?

Yeah thanks i got them to fit they wer a cheep set of lifted / load carying ones witch just had been bended for extra hight i just had to put load on the the center of the spring witch made them flaten out enough to locate and bolt it up to the diff then put a little botle jack between the chasis and the spring and jacked it enough to get the rear shackl in and it fitted shackl angle is not to great but after its had lome load on it they will flaten out and have a beter shackl angle thanks for your comments :)

I hope you have some sort of anti inversion fitted or they are likely to invert the first chance you lift a wheel.
