i had the head off my td42 and put it all back together but now it is blowing lots of white smoke and running rough. could this be caused by air in the fuel lines ???

had the head off because one of the push rods dropped out and i suspected cracked piston but it was all good.

any advice on how to bleed fuel lines properly. i pumped the manual pump until i got it started and tryed cracking a fuel line at the injector to let some air out but diddent help.

i think the valve timing is out would this cause it to blow smoke
