Im posting this for a friend who is looking for info in upgrading his 1998 landcuiser ute.
The things he is un-happy with are ride quality and performance of rear LSD.
He is thinking of upgrading to a newer vehicle but is considering if the extra money to upgrade to a newer vehicle could be better spent on upgrading the current vehicle and getting better value.
He wants to achieve better performing suspension and all round ride quality.
He is also considering installing a detroit locker in the rear to improve traction in the rear.
Some info on both of these topics would be much appreciated.

Not sure about getting it to flex but ride quality is never great in a 75 they were not.designed to be real comfy. You could put in an air suspension seat. For.the LSD you ca just get it tightened or put a locker in

You won't get much joy from a cruiser LSD, no matter what. Go with a locker. You get what you pay for, an air locker means the most control. Mechanical is cheaper, but sometimes you just want it unlocked. I drove 75 troopy with a mech locker and I was surpried with how well it still drove, didn't notice it at all. A ute being lighter in the back may skip a bit.

what condition is the suspension now.
how comfy is he auctually looking.
a OME suspension kit with new greaseable shackles and springs might be enough or he might need to go coils all round.
id also seriously consider a good aftermarket seat.
as for the diff. id go an air locker or Electric locker thats avaible
