Vibration/noise from front diff/transfer?

The noise sounds like that geary noise when your labouring it idling over an obstacle in say 1st or 2nd gear. Thats the best description of it.

I jacked all 4 wheels up and ran it up and down in speed and it vibrates after 40kph and that gear noise comes on when i back off. It sounds horrible.
I took the hubs out and did the same up and down in speed and it doesnt sound bad at all with no load on the CV's.
I turned the tyres by hand with the hubs locked in and no noise at all.

Afew months ago when i put a 4" lift under it i noticed that i could no longer drive in 4wd vor with the hubs locked in at anything over 70kph or it would start vibrating like mad.
I never really worried too much about it as i just took the hubs out if i needed to go quicker than that.
Everything in the front end is in good order if not new.

One thing i did notice that was different was normally if i wanted to shift to 4H on the run, it goes in really easy, but now i have to hold pressure on the gear stick for a second or so till it pops in unless im stationary, then it goes in easy as normal.

With these symptoms im thinking transfer case might need a kit? Anyone had same experiences?

Update, i took the front jackshaft off the transfer and then ran it, same noises but not as much because there is no load. Unreal, whats a transfer kit worth??? I just had the bloody box out doing the clutch a week ago!!

Found this in the bible ages ago under change of transfer gears.
But if its real noisy there may be other problems and a complete secondhand jobbie may be way cheaper, unless you want to add in crawler gears

Transfercase parts

Anyone planning on ever re-buidling a Nissan T/Case for different gears or whatever, cut & paste this so you can buy all the shit before you start.
I got oil in my eye holding one of the seals up to the light to read the miniscule numbers off of it, so be grateful The Finger
Don't bother with Nissan, they won't sell the individual bearings to anyone off the street, only a full t-case reco kit ($)

Bearings:
6212NC3 (NTN)
6208C3 (NTN)
TM207 (NSK)
6306 (2x) (NTN)
6208ZC3 (NTN)
6213Z (NSK)
Seals:
15 Z 50 72 12 AE (Input)
15 Z 50 72.5 19.5 AE (Rear output)
15 Z 40 75 17.9 AE (Front output)

EDIT: Had the rear output diameter wrong. changed from 60mm to 50mm

Yeah cheers for that i wrote all that down earlier, i searched the bible 1st.
No noise whatsoever in 2wd, so im guessing its just a bearing, it doesnt sound metallic like gears busting teeth everywhere, i have magnetic sump plugs and the transfer one had nothing on it bar a tiny bit of metal dust as normally expected for a transfer this age. Im certain a kit will fix the job, but im not going to get too excited just yet. I may even put an ad in the wanted section.

If your front tailshaft has a stiff bearing or worn slip joint it can make the transfer noisy.
If you have water in the oil it can be noisy too, but seeing as you have checked the magnetic plugs I guess you changed the oil

I removed the front shaft and ran it, the transfer is noisy and hard to engage H4. Something is amiss in there.
