Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I have a stock standard 2.8 deisel Hilux, if i turbo it will i need engineers for roadworthy in Victoria?

does anyone have an extract from any ADR's regarding exhaust ending at what distance from the cab? (i thought it was 300mm but its been picked on a roadworthy)

Here in NSW, a turbo needs to be engineered after its been fitted.
My engineer told me that as long as the exhaust isnt too loud, and the proper heat shields are fitted, there should be no dramas.

As for the exhaust behind the cab goes, I think its 300mm from the most rearward part of the cab.
So for a dual cab, somewhere around the rear diff housing should be ok.

But check with your engineer, hes the one that will have his name on it. Its better to double check what he wants.

cheers mate, thats what i needed to know

and check about the details of the "extremeties"... in queensland it can only exit on one certain side at a certain angle bla bla bla (according to dot rulebook, i havent seen anyone who has been pinged because of it)

victoria with the exhaust my engineer told me it had to be behind the last opening side window and can't come out the left hand side due to people on sidewalks etc. but if it's a diesel i would also recommend the tip of it to be facing down a tad so it doesn't swerle around the back while running and leave black soot all up the back of your ute.
