105 Series Landcruiser Rims and Offset Question

Hi all,

I have a 105 series 2001 Landcruiser (solid axel). I have done a search but did not find exactly what I was after. Looking a set of new rims and rubber. Found a set of 16x8 inch black sunraysia rims with -10mm offset wtih 285 MTZs on them. I have 2" lift on the cruiser.

Question, 16x8 with -10 offset, will these fit, will they rub? If I understand correctly standard offset on my cruiser is 0. Any experience or input would be greatly appreciated. Just dont want to get them and have rubbing issues due to the offset.

Cheers,

Tom

I have sunnies on mine they are 16x8 with -25 offset, I have 315/75r16 (35") MTZs.
I have 2"lift.
They rubbed on the mudflaps, inner front guard, and the ends of the sidesteps. I could get out my driveway without rubbing guards.

With -10offset and 285s you might get away with it, but you will be close to rubbing IMO

285's are just a 33" on a good day, they will fit easy. being -10 that means they will sit out 10mm further than the std rims.

Cheers for the info. From reading I was pretty comfortable with the 285s fitting but was a little unsure how the negative ten offset would go rubbing wise. Anyone else got any other input on rim and tyre combs on a 105 series.

Thanks.

i have 305/70 MTZ on mine on 16x8s. they still have plenty of clearance between anything that looks like it will rub. unsure of exact offset. but they are sitting out a bit further than std.
