Im looking at getting rid of the solid rotors and pissy standard calipers on my 85 solid front end 4runner.
I know that usually you use the s12w calipers and ln106 rotors.
Can I use the bigger later model 4runner s13wb brake calipers with 40/60s vented rotors?

S12W calipers use a 20mm thick (when new) rotor.
S13WB uses a 25mm thick rotor.
Rotor will bolt up tho the different rotor may need to be spaced to line up with caliper perfectly due to rotor thickness change.
Changing to IFS hub & V6 4Runner (92-95) rotor & S13WB will fit up tho a rotor spacer is still required, bout 15-20mm from memory.
existing rotors, 12.7mm thick, 49mm offset
106, 60 series, etc. rotor 20mm thick, 49mm offset.
VZN130 (92-95) rotor 25mm thick, 66mm offset.
IMO using the SW12 calipers with 42mm pistons and 60 series 20mm rotors is a better way to go wth the factory using a 15/16" master with the caliper. A 90's Surf dual diaphgram booster may help for a better pedal feel too.
The S13WB uses a 1" master from factory for it's larger 45mm pistons.
HTH.

Thanks for your reply
I have a surf dual diaphram booster ready too go and was planing on running a 1"master cylinder.
I already had the s13wb calipers maybee I will get some s12w's then.
I have the IFS rear diff to go in also so I will get bigger drum in the rear also.
