swaybar extensions

ok so what are the benifits to fitting swaybar extensions besides stopping the driveshaft from hitting the swaybar. do they swaybars work better if they are in the horizontal position as per factory or does it not matter if they are pointing upwards . whats everyones thoughts

I think the purpose is to keep the sway bar in the factory position to avoid clearance issues with tail shafts etc.

Swaybars work best when they're horizontal in the "rest" position.
