Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I'm just putting a spare engine together and about to bolt the head on. I have brand new bolts but they did not come with washers. The other engine i have has washers under the bolts.
****Ok i now know that washers are required.

I'm jst installing the rocker gear and noticed a gap right at the back. Is there meant to be a wavy washer/spring at the like there is atthe front??

yes you need the washers, i forgot to put them back when i did my head and a bolt bottomed out in the thread and snapped.
