want to know what is better rav 4 v6 or the fj cruiser just want to use for everyday and some off road like a weekend out in a bush not to hard 4x4 driving and want to tow a trailer

Is this some kind of trick question? Cmon,,,, where are the camera's hiding.

I would not even put them in the same class of car

FJ is a dedicated retro style 4wd while the Rav I wouldn't class as a 4wd

Mates got a new rav 4, disengages 4wd when it goes over 30kph. Its f#$ked on the beach and burn the clutch out already. Its basically a city car.

your better off getting a prado, fj cruiser has same setup as the prado,
v6 3.4 pretty cheap now, 3ltr diesel the pic though.
old girls got a 98 rav4 350k on the clock, only had the heater thing fail, cost a grand to fix, but nothing else wrong, pretty good seeing shes hopless driving it, poor clutch and its still going.

My mums rav is a thirsty piece of shit! I'd go a fj over an old prado

i'm more just for driving into national park for camping would the rav 4 v6 will do the job i'll be buying the new one as i will get 21% off the price and the fj is cheaper

Is it black & does he live at Redcliffe? I fillowed a black one that was pouring smoke out the back every time it accallerated away.

Im confused, your talking about the new fj cruisers right. Not the old old school ones. And they are cheaper than the rav 4???

Yep, my dad looked at a top of the range v6 rav 4 and it was over 50k. Didnt get it though, our 2003 rav 4 crusier which we bought brand new and it was a tad under 40k back then. It has been a great car and the only thing we had to do is change a water pump which cost 500 fitted and that is using a genuine toyota water pump and it ge 10ltr per 100kms every day of the week.

I know i would buy the new fj over a rav if i was in the market now though.

New FJ Cruiser is $50k, new Turbo Diesel auto GXL Prado can be had for $60k, no idea why anyone would pay over $50k for a Rav or a FJ Cruiser.

There's a few things to consider:
1. if you are a girl, by the RAV
2. If you are a p.o.o.f, but the FJ
3. If you're a bloke, buy a real 4WD.

i've already got a real 4x4 hilux with 304 just looking for an everyday car

I think if you've already got a 4x4, then a daily should be something cheap to run that actually handles. So a normal 2wd perhaps? I can't imagine why you would EVER buy a second softroader if you already had a proper front diff car. They're shit on road in comparison to road cars and they're shit off road in comparison to real 4x4's. They're just shit all round
