Hi there, I have a intermittent vibration/chatter when turning right, if I hit a bump at speed or accelerate it starts up, and i have to slow right down for it to stop. Feels/sounds like it is coming from the front right to me in the DS. Maybe just front
Massive vibration/Chatter. Demands attention. Does not seem to shake the steering wheel.

Locked front diff, both hubs unlocked, transfer in 2wd.
Spoa, commodore shocks front, std rears for now, Ruf, Front diff moved 30 mm forward, 70mm mini links at the front with all new bushes.
31's on 7s. 12A rotary and mazda auto. OME rears all round with a leaf removed. WT diffs on NT.
Driveline spacers in the front driveshaft. Need to make new shaft like the rear.

I think it is the front driveshaft as it has spacers in and has a bit o slop, but should it spin with everything unlocked?
Front brakes have a little bit of shimmy in the mounting bolt shaft.
It has only happened once on the dirt, but often on the road, can start between 20-60Kph.

Gonna pull the front shaft as it did not happen until it went in but ks were pretty limited before then. Never happened when standard.
Effing intermittent problems, why can't stuff just break properly and fall off.
Anyone got any ideas or a set of cromolys for the front? Got a swivel overhaul and bearing kit coming.

Check all your suspension bushs and steering joints for play. Check the wheel bearing condition. Check your leaf spring U-bolts for tenion. Basically put the rig up on a set of stands and go over the whole suspension and steering with a fine tooth comb. It may be a combination of 5 little things causeing it in the end.

Also, when you did the SPOA and front end work what did you set the caster to?

Layto....

Spoa done to stock angles, sitting on level stands, with a 1200mm straightedge and a set of verniers each end, may be a little out due to missing link geometry, I havent had it on an aligner but will once I do the front end.
Cromolys coming sunday, swivel overhaul kit here. Just need a locked rear centre to save me some time...?
Spring angle adjustable with adjustment of Missing link spacing from chassis extensions.
Any suggestions on Kingpin angles etc?
All bushes brand new, all bolts tight, Minimal play in TREs, one brand new Mercedes one. Drag link ends tight.

Really feels like driveline, But I have been wrong before.

Might make some new transfer mounts while I am at it.

Sleep.

Fixed. Combination of bung wheel bearing and too many kingpin shims.
