I have a 2002 GU and the sub tank light is on and i cant get it off, i cant use the sub tank at all, i tryed disconecting the battery for 12 hours and checked the battery leads for contact, nothing seems to do the trick.
Dose anyone have any tricks, or is there a reset buton somewhere.

Mate not sure about the setup I'm yours but some have a pump to pump fuel from second tank to main tank. If it has a pump it may be stuffed also check all fuses and relays.for fuel system if you haven't already.

Im having this exact problem at the moment as well. 2002 GU 4.8.

It didnt reset for me either by disconnecting the battery. Ive read that its usually caused by bad earths.

Let us know how you get it fixed

hey mate i had the same problem in my 2000 4.2 ute. checked pump control unti wiring earths ect. ended up being the sender in the sub tank itself. there is a small spring wire which is attached to a small circuit board and to the float to indicate the fuel level. make sure its not broken. prettty common problem.
