surf body onto 4 runner chassis

hi guys just want to know if a 1992 surf body will fit onto 1988 4runner chassis

They are pretty much the same size, and type of vehicle, so Id say they would be close.
Double check the body mounting points to see how close.

From memory 4? rear mounts need to be moved a little.
A guy on the Surf site did mods to a beam axle Runner chassis for the same thing.
EDIT: Reece on surf site may have the info you want.

Nat the problem you will have is your 88 is a 2 door and the 92 surf is a 4 door the wheel bases are different so it wont fit... (wheel arches dont line up)
try and find a 90 model 2 door and from memory there is only slight mods..but check the wheel bases first

Nat i could be completely wrong.. have a look here its saying the 3 wheel bases are only 0.3mm different ??

hey matt i seen one on the weekend 4runner chassis and surf 4door body commy V6 but i didnt ask him how the fit was :(
