Hello everyone!

Well my dial up connection has been kaput for a week now so i've been unable to log in. I'm sure you've all missed me! lol. I few new things have happened within the week.

My great luck continues with my rear main seal leaking really badly and the latest addition occured last night. My cluch slips like crazy yay, yay, yay. Life is just dandy isn't it.

But a good thing is that i get my new rear windscreen on monday hopefully if it makes it from sydney in one piece.

i drove back from newy one day thinking my clutch was stuffed, kept slipping...would rev out when i'd accelerate, turned out to be the nut on the clutch cable had wound itself up tight so it was'nt connecting with the plate.? its easy to fix, just use your fingers and loosen it off so you have some free play on your clutch pedal..if.. thats the problem.

Check the nut as Em sez, but if ya rear main leaking, then the clutch is probably oil contaminated and slipping due to this. I see it all day with commadores cause there rear main leaks heaps, and buggers up the clutch allowing it to slip. Worth thinkin bout.
Have fun mate

Dave the nut is on the driver's side of the engine down the end of the clutch cable. Once you find the end of the cable there will be a bracket that holds the cable outer, after that the bare cable wire goes to the clutch lever. There should be a bit of slack in the wire cable- if there isn't adjust the plastic nut near the bracket by hand until there is.

Most likely if your rear main has gone it will be the oil on the clutch as already mentioned.
