I have a 85 1.3l sierra. The carby blew a gasket recently and now is just not running right.
The thought that I had was should I;
a) rebuild the current carby
b) replace it with a later model
c) replace it with a holley
Any help would be appreaciated

Stick with the zook carby, holleys and webbers take a lot of work to get running well when on angles

I agree with Gonzo, stick with the stocker and get it rebuilt.

to get a few more horses out of it, if/when you get it rebuilt ask them to rejet it

Had some problem with my zook carby recently, typical zook. Ended up just cleaning it out and it going good now. Am looking at fitting injection to the motor, as this will increase the off-road potential heaps. Here are the threads that the info is in. In the short term just rebuilding the carby would be the best option and probably work out cheaper.

if your running an early zook you can fit a toyota corolla carby
3k-c or if possible use 4k 1.3litre - 5k 1.6litre carby
with little modes check out the samuraitech web site then look for samuri FAQ

That is some serious hair splitting mate,
how many fords have ford carbs?
how many toyota, holden, ferrari or yamaha's have their own carbs?
Peter.
