toyota 4ltr truck turbo onto TB42?

not to sure on this I'm asking for a mate so don't shoot me. He has got hold of a turbo of a 4Ltr common rail toyota truck and wishes to bolt it to his TB42 patrol it is a Garrett .44in / .74out. He is not chasing big power just after a little help on the hiway. Will it work or a waste of time?
