Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hi guys i have a few queries about building up a gu ute, what i have is an extra cab body which is ready to go onto a chassis ,this kind of build is first for me , my plan is to buy a rolled gu 4.2 (i know getting harder to find but i dont mind waiting ) can anyone shed some light etc on matching the body numbers to chassis what year will the car be rego as , body is 02 if i end up putting onto a 06 for example . Is it just a matter of getting approval and engineering reports .

ill throw it out there anypics of modified extra cab gu (lifts bigger rubber etc)

another question while chassis is bare any other bracing etc required beside rear coil towers (any pics of custom bracing , seen the superior brace but would prefer to weld in a neat brace) this ute will built as a tough tourer capable of seeing oz and its tough tracks.

what state are you in?

In QLD, it would get registered as a per the chassis but you would be best to speak to whoever is going to do the mod plate/engineer cert (dependant on state) for the cab swap.

im in wa , thanks for the reply i might have a meeting with a local engineer and just discuss my options .

Any ideas of what possibly i should or shouldnt do during the build , i will be using a 4.2 turbo (cant twist my on this decission.) im keen to hear peoples suggestions
