+ve air pressure winch

Searched, didn't find too much.

Sorting out a lowmount warn, and thinking about running some air into it. Got an airline at the front bar already, and was thinking about tee-ing off it and running to a regulator to drop back to 2-3psi and leak that into the winch... From the search I noticed comments about a water trap to keep moisture out, which I hadn't thought of.

Have others done it? Is it worth doing? What regulator did you use, and do they have them with water traps in them? Any threads, pics or experiences welcome. 50/50 to wonder if its worth the effort - its a tourer/daily, so it would only really be pressurized when the compressor has charged the tank (basically on trips). Seems like a bit of dicking around for something that may not really be of that much benefit, but whilst its all apart it might be a good time to do it...

Thanks,

Hi mate on my winch challenge truck i have drilled and tapped a 1/8 bsp thead into the side of the motor and run an air line up into the dash as a breather and then fully sealed the motor with silicone, that way it still breathes but keeps water out

Buy an airbed pump. Hi volume low pressure. Just leave it in the cab and run a hose to to the motor.
On my himount it is plumbed to the motor and exits via the top of the gear box.
