Challenger Recovery points

A mate of mine has just bought a 2004 Challenger. He lives in QLD and will be taking it on the beach so i advised him to get some rated recovery points. For the rear he can just use the generic tow hitch receivers with the hook on it but what are people using at the front?

Any help/info would be great.

You would be happy to snatch off that point?

i did many times and it didn't look like failing. also used it as the anchor point for hand winching when
to bogged for snatching out.

i would prefer to use a hook that mitsubshi state in the handbook as rated for recovery then a cheap bolt on recovery hook.

My '98 has the same: recovery hook on left, tie-down point on right. Have been snatched, but not excessively hard. It is fine for beach recoveries (from experience, recovering others by reversing), unless it's sitting on it's belly on the sand with water in the doors, and then, well, would anything be enough?

I'm curious - what leads you to suggest that it's not adequate? (I don't recall ever having a good look at one, but I'm more than happy to snatch off the point on the front of my Paj, and I know Mitsubishi are happy to snatch off the hook on the front of the NM/NP. - is the Challenger hook radically different?)

I haven't seen it myself and didn't know they had one besides the usual tie down point.

Thanks for the information everyone.
