help power windows won't wind up
So its got power, and have checked all wires for continuity and all is good wiring wise. Some times it works some times it doesn't. at this point can be either switch or window regulator itself.sometimes hitting the door will make it work. Any idea on which it may be or at the very least as a huge storm is coming how to force it to wind up.

Probably little too late but pull the switches out of the door and strip the unit right down, be very careful not to loose any small parts. There are little metal contacts in the unit, these loose there ability to work over time and just need a little polish, and bob's your uncle you have working windows again. Done mine on saturday.

Motors dead checked power to motor with switch in loop and was getting 12.4 volt to motor even tried connecting.it.straight to power. Had to remove motor and some well placed tec screws and.cables.ties to hold window shut

Re: help power windows won't wind up
I've had this problem with DC motors before.
If one rotor winding is open circuit, and that's the winding on which the motor stops, it won't start again. Sometimes, give it a thump and a little movement can get the brushes to contact an adjacent winding, and away it goes. Until the next time it stops.
When my Paj did this, I replaced the motor (which meant entire mechanism...)
