A little sus, but it's a virgin IP - looks like a Telstra mobile device.
Play nice.

You could find a project 40 for 1k. But it'd work out cheaper in the long run to buy one that actually goes I would think.
But you should just buy a 60 and get all the things your going to want to add to your 40 as standard

i paid $300 for a 40 that went. but not real well.
but i agree save and buy something better. or go RC.
or you would get all your gear for lawn bowls for under 1k. thats a good sport for you.

prepare to spend alot on other than a suzuki, cheap, and parts the same.
cruiser, patrols are expensive, repair, maintain and upgrade.
you only have to ask anyone here, toys are expensive, especially with 2 diffs, extra box......transfer, we all want more power, bigger tyres, winch, lr tank, suspension...
you sure you know what your getting yourself into, money pits...... but damn worth every cent of FUN!!
driving a knarly hill climb,
or creek crossings no one else is prepared to go through
me first
budget 5g to get it up and running, registered and mechanicaly sound then 10g on mods..tyres, lift, uhf, suspension, snorkel, exhaust.. goes on and on...... more power,

I'm interested in the same type of thing!
looking at the BJ42 though, and one that's able to be driven straight away! (able to be registered with minimal work to be done!)
I have to agree with the other comments here that they are expensive! I can't find anything suitable for much under $7k
sure there's some come up on Ebay, but mostly they seem to be over-priced rust-buckets! (I'd be happy with a REASONABLY-priced rust-bucket !! .. they ARE 30 years old after all)
I'm thinking now that I might have to settle for one of the billion Sierra's that are for sale around here and go to work removing the girly flower stickers and pink fluffy seat covers that seem to have come as standard!!

The 40 is basically a classic, hence pricing. Same as anything that is an icon !!

I agree with everything you say.
Unfortunately, here in Australia, people are innocent until proven guilty, and there's no hard evidence of mischief.
We'll keep watching, but it's the admin team who ultimately decide who's legit and who's not. Until they conclude otherwise, please play nice.
