Why GQ ????GU?????

Hello and sorry I will put this up again Why is a Y60 called a GQ??????? and Why is a Y61 called a GU ??????? Its on in any vin numbers or on any id plates. Does any one have any ideas Cheers Rick.

Hello Just it let everyone know that nissan australia said (it is actually just an old model code that was used each time the Patrol Got an up grade and the journalists and the public just ran with it.) Cheers Rick.

So what do you reckon the next model will be called seeing as there was letters missed between the GQ and GU?
