National 4x4 Show Brisbane 23-25 March

Post by XTREME MMM »

Well over & dusted, great weekend.

I would like to thank all of the team that turned up with their trucks:-

Shane or "Mr Blackout" after taking out the power in the arena with his silver GU coming off the tyres.
Dave & Greg in the white buggy, and yes Dave, Greg did happen to put it on its side.
Josh in "RAG Racing's" GQ, he even managed to drive straight into a post.
Christian & Terry, put on another great show, even getting stuck on the tyres more then everyone. Blew a diff in the finals on Sunday.
Brendan with his green buggy straight from tough truck.
Rhett in the cheapest vehicle there, I will not mention about not locking in the hubs on the first run. But the crowd loved the nose stand on one of the runs at the finish and on the first run on the next day managed to nearly rip off the front diff & steering assembly.
Chris Wood in his new GU winch truck, looks great and am really looking forward to seeing it out there at Round 2 ARB XWC and the XI - RFC
Alan in the green GQ, was the only one to drive the vehicle in & out of the show, was running the smallest tyres but was still able to clear all the course unlike some others.
Greg in the Polaris who showed us what one could do until Adam stepped in and really showed us what one COULD REALLY DO. And also thanks for letting me have a drive on the weekend.
Dave in the Polaris put on a great show on Saturday before nearly having to walk home in the evening, he was very lucky that we caught up on my way out as all his gear was locked in my car.
Em & Katy well what a week that you guys had, paper, TV and putting on a great show over the weekend and really showing everyone that you can mix it with the boys.

It was also great to catch up with a lot of old faces in there, it was great to be able to catch up.

Until next Brisbane National 4x4 Show, bye from David Metcalfe.
