What should a timing belt change be worth from local mechanic?
For a early nineties 2.8 litre Hilux non turbo.

depends what parts they want to replace with the timing belt.
if its just a belt prob 3-400 dollars.

I had a 2001 hilux and boght a timing belt kit.i think it was aroung the 150 mark and then gave a mate a carton and a hand to put it in.but he said in the workshop they would charge 450 and up.small price to pay for piece of mind and new engine
