uhf repairs on the mornington peninsula Vic

G day Chaps,
I have searched to see if I could find an appropriate forum, for UHF repair Teckies,( on the Mornington peninsula Vic.) but wasn't successful.
Can anyone help with my problem?
The unit is a brand new Oricom, which I received for zilch when I purchased my freezer for the car, later, when I fitted it to the Vehicle (Nissan Patrol), it (the UHF) wouldn't work, so I removed it, with the intention of sending it back to Oricom, however while I was away for a few days, my idiot brother decided to have a look at it, thinking, (according to him) that there may be a fuse inside which was faulty.
So, he broke the seals, and undone the panels, but couldn't find any internal fuse (of course he couldn't the fuse is an on line thing), anyway, now that he has tampered with it, evidently it is now not covered by any warranty, Yikes!!
So I have to find out what has gone wrong with the thing, and work out if it is more expensive to repair, than purchase another unit (Not Oricom!)
