turbo help...

G'day guys.
I'm in a bit of a pickle... I just installed an after market turbo on my cruiser and got all the piping, oil lines and what not hooked up. I haven't done the exhaust on it yet but I thought is start her up and see how she goes. I didn't do any thing stupid like revving the ringer out of it but I gave it a few short revs and some very fine oil like substance came out the back and onto my firewall.
It's like oil with thinners in it and I can't figure out where it would be coming from or if it is condensation mixed with soot.
Does anyone know if this is normal or not, even if it had an exhaust would it normally do this anyway?

Any help would be great... Thanks
Jamie

Sounds like its just condensation or fuel from the engine after a cold start. Especially if it has been sitting around a few days while fitting the turbo.
I have black spots of shite like this all over my garage floor near the tailpipe from years of cold starts from diesels.
Could also be manufacturing / preserving oils etc in the turbo or manifold.
It will go away when warm.
