in a nut shell, 3 slave cylinders and 2 master cylinders later, all brand new and there not farkin working!
its driving further round the bend than the damn 4wd

i thought maybe a leak where the line goes onto the slave cylinder so i replaced both the small copper washers, and yet STILL its leaking!

ok all i can think of is for some reason the clutch line is farked yeh? there is fluid around the part that bolts onto the slave cylinder

anyone know how easy these are to get? roughly how much? or should i just go to Pirtek?

cheers in advance guys

Mate I work at 4x4 wreckers and i reckon next to free wheeling hubs and cv's these are the most common things we sell of GQs They seem to all eventually leak I think its got to do with the heat of the exhaust running right next to it. I would try to get a nice braided steel one made up.
Cheers Gary...

X2 on the flexy hose gone bad
I used some of this fireflex on my replacement hose.

There is also a metal heat shield for the slave cylinder which is standard on the GQ. Unfortunately a lot of these are missing (like mine was). It should help the slave cyl last a fair bit longer
