Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I recently purchased some of these in 14" travel for my 5 link coil rear but I went to Vic high country and blew the top off one and seal and oil came out...

What's peoples views/ experiences with these.. We did long drives on corrugated roads with steep hill climbs and descents.. I did put my hand on the shock body and they did get quite hot. (but every one else's were hot)

Should I buy another or go back to rancho or similar.. I ran ranchos for the last 7 years without a failure. These bilsteins lasted approx 2000kms

haven't had any issues with my 5125's yet but on removing the rear centre last night i noticed my 5150 has some decent gouge marks on the shock body as well as the reservoir and so far the shock has held. I have heard reports the 5150's (sorry not 5125's your talking about) and the remote reservoir seal going and leaking but not experienced this myself.

I'm hoping my response gives you some indicator of build quality.

Yeh i have a feeling they are better suited to slow paced crawling vehicles but when used for long periods on rough roads they cant handle the heat.. But im only guessing..

Let me know what you think/good or bad or feel free to recommend something better.

I'd try a warranty claim.

I've helped fit them to a Defender 110 and I run them in my track car and never had any problems. They usually have a pretty high standard of quality, you may have got one that slipped through.
