Td42 won't idle, missing, white smoke heeelp!

Got a td42. It runs, but it runs like a bag of bum. Comp tested all cylinders within spec, checked timing marks in timing case and the "Z" lines up with the "ZZ". Checked if injectors are getting fuel, adjusted valves, ran new fuel to see if it was poo in the tank. Asside from putting a new pump and injector in I am lost for ideas. Anyone shed some light????

Pull the injectors and have them tested.
I had a similar think happen and it had broken 2 injector springs and jammed the nozzles.
Sounded like it had done a big end bearing and smoked heavily(white).

Diesel + compression + timing = running.

If compression and timing are then either it's fuel supply (pick up or filter), fuel pump or fuel injectors.

check the gauze in the inlet to the injection pump.

white smoke can caused by incorrect timing. common cause is fuel blockage causing high vacuum in the fuel lines, or seal or line is letting air be sucked in.
