Who has had problems with Urethane bushes as i replaced all the bushes in my 80Ute with them and they keep chopping out (all the control arm bushes in less than 3000 KM's) the panard bushes wore then had big time front end shakes. Gone back to factory bushes on the panard and its a different 4B to drive im now going to go back to factory bushes in all the suspension control arms as im spending lots of $$$$ and time on the Urethane crap. :?

If you need articulation off road you cant beat rubber. When the urethane first came out it was pushed to Rangie owners as a way to tighten up the handling. It works great until you go off road and then chops out and limits travel. Those of us that use the Rangies off road wont touch urethane at all.

Im running 12" travel up front and 16" travel at the rear and originally wanted the Urethane bushes as they pivot around the centre sleeve of the bush kit. I have rotators on all the control arms so the bushes dont bind articutating the B/Block grunt squashes and eats the bushes up.

I am currently taking all of the urathane bushes out of my landy and replacing them all with original rubber ones....

They chew out quicky but they are a Sh$#load easier to get out and replace than the rubber ones...!

Goo the rubber....

Urethane is hard, unforgiving and damned noisy. I had Urethane bushes in the front of my radii arms and even mounting a gutter has a noisy affair.. Went and got plates + genuine rubber bushes and = more flex and no noise...Rubber has better memory ie; the holes return to centre.... My old man had urethane in his rangie and they were just chewed out to buggery you could move the front arms around with your hand... dangerous....

Gradually rebushing entire care w/ genuine nissan rubber. Apparently you can get aboot 30 degrees of misalligment with the suckers.... stick a screwdriver in one and move it around... you'll see.

They only application urethane is good for in my eyes is... coil spacers... even then I look twice at the things....

Urethane = devil... lol :bad-words:

had urethane in our rangie for years. Awesome on road handling. 1st Set lasted 7 years, somewhere between 50-100K Klms. Onto second set. Probably restict articulation a bit, but with 4.6, motec computer, f& R diff locks and jacked good suspension, we can still do most stuff. Well, so far never been stopped doing tracks and the like, done a lot to....

I agree, I only use rubber as it is better for flex, quiet and lasts longer. ;)
