Adapting master cylinders to boosters

G'day, after info on adapting a master cylinder to a booster with different flange bolt hole positions. I'm thinking of making an adaptor to suit but that would make the master cylinder sit the thickness of the adaptor further out from the booster... Can the shaft be lengthened to account for the difference? Main thing is after the mod is done the new cylinder needs to work with bloody ABS.

What vehicle is it for? What booster? What master cylinder? What are you hoping to achieve?

Someone might have a solution for you.
