I have a mq shortie with 235/85r16 tyres and the two fronts are scalloping (uneven wear from tread block to the next alternating in depth) out on the inside edges, i know the bearings need torqueing and am wondering whther loose bearings would cause the scalloping. I also have a short gq with standard 31x10.5x15 tyres(on standard sunraysia rims) which i'm slowly doing up so it sought of is sitting there probably for another month. Now because the tyres on the mq are very good and worth $70 each more than those on the gq, i am thinking i might swap them at least until i torque or fix the scalloping problem. I know the 235's will fit the gq fine but i am wonsdering whther the tyres on the gq will fit the mq and not hang out the sides too much... what do u guys reckon. Sorry for the long post but i'd appreciate ya help
ps. is there a difference between the wheel nuts which cover the threads and those which leave the end of the thread exposed, i.e. the way they clamp the wheel on etc. and are gq and mq wheel nut threads the same??
the mq's are exposed and the gq's covered
Thanx
