Engine mounts 304>GQ

G'day,
about to start putting a 304 injected into my gq dual cab.
spoke to my engineer about my engine mounts and he won't let me use a lower control arm bush setup and wants me to use conventional commodore engine mounts.
reasons for this are due the the control arm bushes having about a 1/10th the flexibilty of a conventional enginer mount rubber. the car might not be worth engineering so gotta weigh up doing it how i want or doing it the way he wants and getting a certificate.
so looking for people's experience with using a control arm bush as an engine mount to see how bad the vibrations really are. car is just a weekender and tore a few engine mounts with the std 4.2 and don't want to have this problem again.
Cheers, Calvin
