Yeah mate, but as you can see I used the 80 series master cyl (25.4mm bore) instead of the Hilux V6 one (23.81mm). Only reason I did this is cause I didn't find as much info on using the late hilux m/cyl. Trust me mate, I couldn't ask for better brakes in my hilux!! Everyone said that the brakes would be awesome after the upgrade but it's something you need to experience for your self to believe how much better and safer it really is
I'm in Speerspoint just out of Newcastle, if you aren't too far away you're more than welcome to have a go at mine and see how it's done

so I don't need to change the booster if I use the v6 master cylinder from
http://www.marlincrawler.com/brake/mast ... r-cylinder" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
don't want to spend to much and want to keep it easy fit I'm not going to change the rear drums atm just want to make it stop better foe when I get it engineer

If you can find an 80s master and booster to suit yours, then use them both.
I have 80s booster and master cyl in my Lux, and love it, one of the best mods Ive done so far.
I fitted later model rotors and calipers, I have an 86Lux, and I fitted 106 bits, so its an upgrade for me. Rear drums are still stock.
All parts bolted right on, use the same wheel bearings as before.
Only real modifications needed were....
I had to egg the hole in the firewall a little so the booster would bolt up nice and flush.
I had to trim a small section out of the brake backing plate so the larger calipers would bolt up sweet.
Apart from that, easy, and well worth it.

If you don't change the booster but use a larger m/cyl, you will end up with a rock hard pedal. By the way, THAT IS A 80 SERIES M/CYL!!!!!
And that little sales pitch they give works the other way too.... If you change the Master Cylinder without increasing the size of your calipper pistons, or wheel cylinders, you will end up with a stiff pedal, even worse if you leave the standard booster there..... bottom line is you'll end up with worse brakes than you started with, take it from someone who's already made that mistake!!

I put LN 106 parts in my LN65. running 33" then 35" tyre. Stopped real good. Never went to 80 series as I was happy with it and it stopped safely. Now with 35" on my LN106 it'll prob need 80 series master and booster. If brakes are in good condition Abd adjusted up properly with a LSPV that works properly it should stop pretty good with 33"s don't expect lock ups but it'll get it stopped great
