Stupid LED Q

I have a rigid LED bar, I purchased it as a 12v unit, I note on info provided that they have an operating voltage of I think 6v - 36v. Can I run the unit in 24v obviously provided I run a relay and associated harness to suit 24v?

I have seen this as well, it would appear you could but the thing is you wouldnt risk the new light just to try it.

Here is a document that sort of answers what you are asking: http://www.diodes.com/_files/design_not ... x/dn93.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Here is another talking about the driver chip: http://www.allegromicro.com/Products/.. ... sheet.ashx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It sems you can BUT I would talk to someone in the know first.
