Does this sound ok? Diff question.

I just picked up a new used GQ LWB yesterday.

In testing on a concrete car park if I do tight figure 8's in 2wd everything seems ok.

If I do the same in 4wd with the hubs locked the rear wheels drag like there is a locker in the back. It seems fine on the straights.

Any idea why this happens?

Does engaging 4wd increase the effectiveness of the LSD or is there something more sinister going on like a mismatched pair of diffs??

I never noticed it happening with my old shorty which I sold a few years ago but that had a factory locker in the back.

Thanks
Dan

So you have it in 4wd on concrete/tarmac???
It would be the drive line binding up.

mate, never put it in 4x4 on a surface that doesn't allow the wheels to slip ie concrete, tarmac.its a sure fire way to do damage. if you wanna do this "test" do it on gravel.
