Not much chat on these anymore, people not finding them any good?

Thought about a set when I replace the MTRs..

Not that Im unhappy with MTR's, love em to bits, just thinkin' of a change....

The only thing that turned me away was the uni-directional factor - I'm too retentive to work out what to do with the spare.

And the MTRs were second-hand...

They rock :D I'm very happy with mine (31 on a zook) have outdriven a few with mtr's too :)

Maybe not much chat because they just do their job without hassle :?:

My only issue is that they'll probably last TOO long with the lightweight suzuki meaning they'll eventually become general duty tyres and I'll buy some larger more aggressive play tyres instead of just upgrading :?

Run a standard mud for a spare that's what I do ;)

Ive 37 13.5/15 on my 80Ute and ive run them on the missus TD80 cruiser and i luvem there great if going on a long trip as they drive nice on the black top work good in the rocks and ruts there average in the soft mud and the hard wet clay but similar to the MTR but have great side lugs. Ive had Exterains, Swamper, Boggers, MTR's, 36" Simex peddes and two set of M/T Claws and what ive kept is the Exterrains, Swamper's and Simex's

I'll say it again :D  very happy good on road (wearing well) and x-cellent off road. Only the super swampers centipeeds etc beat them but then they are SH##T on road.

The best off-road tyre that I've used on-road........ if that makes sense..?
On-road they're quiet, excellent grip in the wet (far greater than ant mud tyre I've used) and seem to be wearing well.
Off-road they're great on rocks, work well in mud (tho a bit of sideways slip) and good in the really lose stuff.
I've given mine hell on the rocks and have been very happy with how little thay have chipped up.
Certainly could do worse.................

.............plus they look great!!

It would depend on vehicle, weight, tyre preasures and driver. These have done about 20000ks, run them at 28 psi, and 12-18psi off road. I would run less, probably down to 8 off road, (as they hardly bag at 12) but no bead locks :D

i have been looking at these for a while when i upgrade to 35's. How many mm you reckon tread depth you have left? Hard to tell from pic.

I chose Xterrains when I stepped up to 37's as mmy daily drivers. Most of my friends are using 37" MTRs and find that they need ridiculous amounts of lead to get them to balance. Mine balanced with n.ext to nothing.

I do around 50kms each day to work, 6 days a week on the wet, slippery, windy alpine roads up to the snowfields and couldn't be happier with their performance on-road.

I know that the 37's use a different compound than the smaller tyres so I'm not sure what the performance of the other sizes are like but these are definitely the best combination on/off-road tyres that I've ever run. Like 80Ute, I've had the lot before and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone even tho they were nearly $150 a tyre more than a 37" MTR.

Offroad I don't generally play in the deep mud anymore (have a beadlocked set of boggers in the shed anyway) and on rocks and the shally stuff, they are sensational.

Heard some unkind words regarding these tyres on the 4WDMonthly forum, that or it was simply anti-Cooper. Will be interesting to see if they feature in Issue71 in the tyre comparo.
On a personal note I've been running the 315's (35's) for ages now as my daily's and love em. One niggle is since going with the internal beadlocks balancing them has been a pain. I've been told I should get a dynamic balance on the car. Does anyone know where in VIC I can get this done?

11mm left on them now but the tyre as the photo showed had only done 20000ks ( i would have done 30000ks now), so 10mm of wear in 30000ks is not real great but you can't have everything
