Qld rego: 3f swap for 2h

Hey guys,
Im just about to put my 1980 troopy in for a rwc and rego. But I have a few concerns....
1. The motor was swapped from a 3f to a 2h many years ago by the previous owner, I am unsure if he had informed queensland transport or not. But as the motor did come out standard with these vehicles, will there be a problem with the petrol-diesel change?
2. The vehicle is an 11 seater, but was last registered in 2008 as a 3 seater. QT told me a mod plate is needed to bring it back to 11 seats. But it was an 11 seater when it came out, and there is no mod plate changing it to a 3 seater, so why should i need a mod plate?
Any insight or personal experiences are more than welcome.
Thanks all

1: Are you sure the engine has been swapped? It's not a HJ47? What is the model code on your ID plate?
2: Completely agree in theory but it would seem that a mod plate was done at some stage for the transport dept to change their records for the vehicle to 3 seats. So even though the plate isn't on the car you'll need another mod plate to change it back with the transport dept. If the seats and belts are all there and it's all original, you could probably remove the mod plate after you're done registering it.

Yes, as long as you're sure it hasn't already had one done but is missing like the seat one.

check the engine number on the rego papers and you will know if rego dept know of engine change or not. if you need to do blue plate for seating, look at going 9 seat. !! seats makes it a bus for rego and can cost more and require yearly inspection

Righto, so went into QT again today, and while they wouldnt give me the engine number, they did tell me it was last registered as a diesel. Win!
As for the 11 seats, yeh my mate has filled me in previously about the hassle. But I think im just goin to have to cop it on the chin, as i will be using the vehicle for a business and would like to have everything legit for the 11 seats... Plus I can stop in bus zones then! haha
Cheers for the input guys, hopefully can get the seating modplate without any dramas. Anyone know what type of cost im looking at?
