Mounting Sanden 508 to 2H motor

Hi,

I'm in the process of gathering parts to install on board air in my 1988 HJ75 ute and I'm trying to work out how to mount the compressor. I will be using a Sanden 508 compressor and I am wanting to mount it like they are in the 60 series wagons that came with a/c, like the photo below. Does anyone know if the a/c bracket out of the 60 series will work with the Sanden pump? I already have the stock alternator bracket from a 60 series so if I can grab the a/c bracket as well, then that would be great. If they don't match up, then I think I'll have to try and find a Denso compressor which wouldn't suit me as well.

Cheers

Is this for an endless air setup? Denso compressors aren't the same as a sanden, the sanden can be setup to use its own lubrication, I don't think the same can be done with denso, you have to add lube occasionaly

Yeah it is for an endless air setup. I've already sussed out that the denso compressor won't be suitable, hence the Sanden pump. Do you know what pump is in that picture? It doesn't look like a denso but it looks like it is using factory brackets.

I don't know what it is, sorry. It looks different to all the Denso pumps I've seen.
People do use Denso pumps for air compressors, you just need to put a teaspoon of oil into them occasionally, and just be aware it may fail eventually if not given enough oil.

I reckon thats a not factory air in the pic. Pretty sure all the Toyos use the Denso pumps with thru bolt mounting, but there are usually factory looking kits like the one shown with the ear mount compressors.

I'd do a ring around local wreckers and try to find aftermarket A/C mount. Maybe even an A/C specialist will be able to hook you up.

Just an update for those interested. The Sanden that I picked up came out of a VK commy, and it was mounted with a flat plate on the base. So what I've done is got the factory a/c mount and I'll drill some holes through the plate on the pump that line up with original mounting holes on the bracket. This should give me a pump that lines up with all the required pulleys without requiring any major fabricating.
