Does anyone make a trimatic to lancruiser transfer case adapter? Greg and I are kicking some ideas around around and this raised its head. well, mostly I raised its head. We have our reasons. I though that Marks made one, but theyre only advertising TH350's and up. Surely someone has fitted a traumatic to a cruiser?

I tried Castlemaine, and they don't seem to list anything. I'm sure they could make one, but I'd rather not get into that.
Doesn't look like Dellow does either

ehem, we were sort of trying to figure out if it was possible to put a 4A series 1.6 corolla motor behind a corolla AE70 auto (a trimatic I believe) into a landcruiser transfer. as I siad, we have our reasons, but its looking a bit like it's not a goer

We convert the T/350, T/400 and T/700 cases to Holden Trimatic Pattern without using an adaptor plate and no one makes a Trimatic to Land Cruiser kit. Our Tri Mod cases work well as you use a std Trimatic drive plate, both the Chevy convertors and Trimatic convertors have the same spigot configuration so they fit straight up, the factory fitted Holden to Turbo dust cover fits straight on, no spacers required. Only one down side - The case has to be empty for me to tunnel align the case and re-machine the front of the case in the lathe after we have welded the case. I have a photo of this being done here
http://www.automatictransmission.com.au ... e_t350.asp ( This will show you the process but the case you will see was being tunnel aligned as part of are Extreme rebuild and not for the Tri Mod but it shows you why we need the case to be empty ). If you send me the case I will do it for $295 inc gst or if you need a reco transmission it can be done during the rebuild for the extra $295 inc gst
Hope this helps.
Regards
Rodney

Thankyou very much for that information. We are on the cusp of either building something or just going to a Jimny auto. Greg and I will now confer.
