16inch allloys and tyres,or 15inch sunraysias,on my gq?

hey guys i have a 91 gq wagon with a three inch lift and two inch body lift,it has 16inch gu alloy rims allready fitted.Is it better to go to a 285x75xr16 or wpould it be better to go to a 15 inch sunrasia and suitable tyre.i am only thinking of going to say 33 size tyre.cheers in advance,pete.

Hi Pete. Id be sticking to the 16s. I had that decision a few months back when i bought new rims and tyres. Had 15s on it already but i changed to 16s to get the better load and speed ratings. 15s would be a bit cheaper but you would have to buy new rims. If you already have 16inch rims stick with them. Hope this helps :)

Hey Pete I bought another set of 15" 33s and have been told that 15" are now on well and truly on the outer as far as range of tyre choice by nearly all tyre manufacturers... Something to think about in the future.

You'll find the tyres to suit a 15' rim are cheaper. But then you would have to factor in the cost of purchasing the 15' steelies on top of your new tyres.
