Main issue is the front Dana 30, which is weak, both in terms of small R&P and weak axle tubes prone to bending.
35's wont help.
They can be sleeved and strengthened /gussetted at the inner C to make them better, but still......
Best fix is an aftermarket Dana 44 from teraflex or dynatrac, will set you back $8k +/- with your choice of locker and gears.
Otherise, they are generally OK, and work really well offroad.
Its an 07 with lowish K's, so price is at the top of the range IMO, not allowing for lots of mods.

Check play in the following:
(Whilst steering stabiliser off)
Tie Rod ends, draglink, panhard play (any mov't in bushes and bolt holes) and check ball joints.
If worn these could cause issues later down the track with shimmies or death wobbles.
Check steering for any clunking as may have dud box or intermediate shaft.
Also check unis and driveshafts for any play etc.
Check out Ausjeepoffroad under Jk section, plenty of information there.
Looks like a good vehicle with a lot of goodies, good luck with the purchase, I love my Jk even with the minor imperfections it has...

Cheers for the good advice, I took the family for the test drive, & we instantly fell in love with it. there is 1 main concern & that is my wife's foot isnt long enough to rest her heel on the floor & be able to reach the accelerator pedal. Is this common ?? is there an accessory we can get to give the pedal more length.

Just put a block under the pedal assembly... makes it more comfortable for just about everybody. ( its an electronic throttle so no cables to get in the way.... )
Be careful Piglet..... repair on the CRD is bloody expensive if anything goes wrong, and there's not that many really knowledgeable repairers out there.
