Atlas transfer adaptor

I have got my hands on an atlas2 transfer case for my new project and was wondering if anyone has tried to fit one to a vitara aw4 auto. I have searched on the advance adaptors website but there doesn't seem to be a listing for such an adaptor. The case has a 27 spline input with 32 spline outputs and the output shaft on the aw4 is 23spline.

maybe look at other autos that could adapt to the vitara engine?

Thought they would bolt straight to a JEEP A4W box. You can get an adaptor for a hilux A340F which is the nearly the same box. You can also change the output shafts and housings to make up what ya need.

I've just put an atlas behind the AX15 in the TJ, it has a 23 spline output shaft, as does the AW4 in XJ chero's.
Go back to AA and check again, or see if someone like Novak do an adaptor?

Maybe the diameter of the output shaft in the suzi is the issue?

Shit edited my last post.... I said Rover but ment JEEP. Sorry. The A4W Jeep box should bolt straight to an ATLAS,

Why not use a power train that is available in the us?

Doesn't a tri-matic bolt to a vit auto? (Hypos build) an trimatic is a gm box from the states isn't it?

AA has and sells lots of stuff tht isn't on there site.

An atlas will bolt straight to the jeep aw4. I've read about guys in the states swapping the tail housing and output shaft in the Toyota A340 to jeep Cherokee parts so I could only assume the same thing may possible for the Vitara aw4.

Why use a vitara engine?

I want to use the vitara motor as it's light and has a good 4 speed auto and it fits in the small chassis of the lj. I alrready have a sierra based buggy with a commo v6 in it but I want to try and loose some weight over the front axle and I will make up for the vit motor having less power with a bit more gearing and it will be fitted with nitros.

I did think about a 3rz but they are still quite heavy and I will still be in the same situation with finding an adapter. I went and had a chat with a local machinist and he was confident of making up a splined coupler and the adapter plate so hopefully things are looking up.

couldnt you get an output shaft made with the right spline for the atlas and make your own adapter?
