LWB or SWB sierra?

Looking to get a zook for pure offroading, having seen a few shorty 4wd's flip over due to tall tyres and lift i am a bit worried about the zook cartwheeling down the hill, so i have been looking for a LWB model but they are more exy and hard to find :( So my question to the zookers, how do they fare on steep climbs? i have always had LWB 4wd's so i dunno what to expect from a little zook, they look pretty unstoppable with a little lift and 31"s, tho a bit bouncy!
anyone done beer'o'clock hill at scenic rim in a shorty zook?

Not that familiar with Sierras, but consensus seems to be that LWB are definitely the way to go, especially for climbing.
The beauty part is that most stuff is bolt-off bolt-on, so if you're up to the work you could get the LWB chassis, a ute cab, some wide-track diffs and you've got the best bits of everything for a crawler without going too nuts on aftermarket gear. Vitara 1.6 motors and gearboxes go in pretty easy too

yea been lurking in the shadows reading up on mods, dunno which way i will go yet, but seeing as the missus is keen to punt one around the tracks i gotta get something already running, maybe with a few mods already, i got too many projects of my own (still building my 13B PP gemini coupe so far 12 years!) and other various rare gemini's that need a resto too, plus i am racing a drag gem and running 2 businesses, we hardly get time to wheel these days, thank god for day trips to DI!

I would be more worried about falling over sideways, not hard to get the front wheels off the ground in a SWB though.

good thing about the zook is being so light you could hang you bum to balance the weight! i reckon a set of wider rims on wt axles would help, but still they can be tippy i spose, wont know till i get out and do it!

It's up to how big you want to play. If you are happy with 31's and small lift the SWB is fine (lifting wheels is common).
If you want to play bigger then a LWB is the go, some 35's and hilux diffs and climb everything your game to. Ha ha
