hi all, have just bought a cheap gq for chassis and running gear and was crawling around under it and found factory rear disconnects fitted. are they any good? i had already decided to fit disco's front and rear anyway so this may save me a few bucks. went for a quick wheel last night and they seem to release and re lock again. should i keep or ditch?

They work fine untill you lift it.
What are these "disco's" you speak of?

Mine works fine with a 4 inch lift, pins just need to be made longer.

CAn you get longer pins for the factory disconect off the shelf somewhere or do you have to modify the original to suit the lift?

Both can options can be done.
Contact Sudso in the vendors section on the patrol4x4 forum makes them for any size lift.

I got front and rear discos from superior, after running factory ones for a while with a 4" lift updated with a superior kit....Never had problems with the factory discos after the mods for the lift but after having a set from superior you can tell the differance in way of quality but functionabilty no differance the stardards got the job done, it all comes down to how much you will use them and have you got anything else worth spending the $400.00 on.
