GQ electrical glitch

Noticed today that the tail and stop lamps on the GQ remain on with the key in the OFF position
Anyone encountered this b4?
Am no sparky, tried the usual things - checked some earths for what it's worth, as well as the relays, which one governs brake lights I'd be buggered...
Just thought I'd try this before visiting the sparky and incurring $$$$..
Replies appreciated

do you mean when the key is off and you put your foot on the brake, the tail lights come on?

yep,
when the key is removed both the tail and stop lights remain illuminated.
had to disconnect battery when parked overnight.
Instaled a trailer socket 6 weeks ago but problem has only come to light (no pun) yesterday. Had some interesting pointers via the Nissan page.
Any blokes here got any ideas?
Cheers

My GQ still as working brake lights when key isn't in ignition.
Check your brake switch ( mounted above brake peddle ) It could have just shorted out.
Do the lights ever go out? . ie when driving.
Get one of those test light screwdrivers and chase it back through the wiring loom, and find out where the power is coming from.
Cheers

if its the brake lights, id be looking at the reed switch on the brake pedal. maybe there is a bit too much play. and its not braking engaging the switch properly. pretty sure you can adjust where the switch sits.
