Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hey guys, I have had a Land rover, toyota bundera and now i am switching codes again and buying a GU coil cab. I would like to know information bout the engine options that came from the factory in the last 5 years.

When the turbo came in? Any problems and pointers to look for? Anything will help as i know close to nothing about patrols.

you can get :
leafy DX with 4.2 diesel and 4.2 turbo diesel.
coily DX with 4.2 diesel and 4.2 turbo diesel
coily ST with 4.2 turbo diesel
your choice of 5 speed manual or 5 speed manual
leafy had 4.375 diffs and the coily had 4.111 diffs

not sure if you can get non turbo in the new model .

nissan dont sell a non turbo diesel anymore

4.2 turbo utes came in around april 1999 but they sill sold non turbo's alongside them

differences from DX to ST changes all the time

on a brand new one, ie 2004 ac is now std

DX gets bench seat, ST get s wagon seats

DX leaf gets skinny wheels and tryes and rear drums, DX CC and ST get wide wheels and rear disks

ST gets door pockets, intermittant wipers, fuel warning, door open warning etc etc,

DX gets vinyl floor, NO CUP HOLDERS

ST gets side steps

so is it fair to say the only difference is in cosmetics?

yep and the main difference is from the leaf to the coil

im not sure how much nissan played with the specs over the years and AC is only just std

the coil cabs are mechanicaly the same
DX is a three seater with vinyl floor
The ST is a two seater with CD, carpet, sidesteps, power aerial, elec windows, central locking, centre console, map lights, sunglass holder and cup holders
