Gday guys and gals,

New to this forum as I have stepped away from the touring and other forums so much to build my truck into modified class for wtc and would like peoples opinions on what they have used or would recommend for a 35" comp tyre.

I have looked at the creepy and pro comp xt mt as front runners but there may be other options people have used that worked.

I have tried search by the way.

Cheers

Simex's are generally a good tyre for winch comps or maybe the maxxis trepedor but that would not be the sticky compound

35x13.5R15 BFG Krawlers.....grip is awesome. Only let down would be sidewall strength compared to Maxxis/Simex etc.

People like fourbys say that there to dear and dont worry bout em.

If i could get krawlers for a decent price that would be the tyre of choice.

what ever you do make sure you get the big 35s, don't want to get stuck with a set of the small 35s :D

I run 37" Krawlers and they are excellent.
I got mine 2nd hand but 4 of them were never previously fitted to rims (ie brand new). The spare had
only done about 30km offroad.
I heard they were around $850+ retail and only one place in Melb bringing them in.
Id definitely rate them against the likes of hard compound Treps, Pro Comps etc. Drive well on road, excllent all round offroad.

Maxxis by far are the best tyre either the treps or the creepys, i run the creepys myself and love them, im not a fan of the BFG crawlers as they dont seem to clear the mud from what ive seen and as said weak sidewalls. Simexes are good if you have foward momentum but as soon as u loose momentum they just dig down bad. Especialy in the dry. My opinion, go to a few comps and look wat every one else is running and its pretty obvious wat the tyre of choice is.

If you can BFG's cheap I'd run them over anything else.
I ran 34" Jungle Trekker 2's for ages, brilliant tyre and over sized.
Bigger than a 35" Claw.

BFGs bring the suck for winch challenge events.

Maxxis all the way. Super strong sidewalls. Good traction.
